Nikolina Brnjac

Member of the European Parliament since 2024

Nikolina Brnjac, a Member of the European Parliament since 2024, focuses her political and legislative work on transport, tourism, regional development, and affordable housing, building on her strong academic background and experience in national government.

In the European Parliament, she is an active member of the Committees on Transport and Tourism (TRAN), Regional Development (REGI), and the Special Committee on the Housing Crisis in the EU (HOUS), contributing to policies that directly impact mobility, regional cohesion, and housing accessibility.

As a representative of the European People’s Party (EPP) in the Tourism Task Force, she works on promoting sustainable and competitive tourism while preserving local identity and ensuring balanced development, particularly in coastal and island regions.

She also serves as the EPP coordinator in the Housing Committee, playing a key role in shaping the EU’s first comprehensive approach to the housing crisis. She emphasizes that housing is not only a social issue but also a critical economic and demographic challenge, advocating for stronger use of EU funds for affordable housing and urban regeneration.

In the legislative process, she acts as EPP rapporteur on tourism-related connectivity and regional development, as well as on key financial instruments such as the European Competitiveness Fund and the Connecting Europe Facility (2028–2034), with a focus on strengthening infrastructure, territorial balance, and dual-use transport systems.

Her work is defined by a strong commitment to turning EU policies into concrete, actionable results on the ground.
