The Website is brought to you by Croatian Office for Creativity and Innovation (COCI). COCI strongly believes it is important to protect your Personal Data and we are committed to giving you a personalised service that meets your needs in a way that also protects your privacy. This policy explains how we may collect Personal Data about you. It also explains some of the security measures we take to protect your Personal Data, and tells you certain things we will do and not do. You should read this policy in conjunction with the whole of our Terms of Service.

When we first obtain Personal Data from you, or when you take a new service or product from us, we will give you the opportunity to tell us if you do or do not want to receive information from us about other services or products (as applicable). You can normally do this by ticking a box on an application form or contract. You may change your mind at any time by emailing us at the address below.

We may collect Personal Data about you from a number of sources, including the following:

  • When you register to participate at Young Leaders Forum, in which case this may include your contact details, telephone number, and your email & occupation.
  • When you contact us with an inquiry or in response to communication or survey from us, in which case this correspondence would be considered personal data.
  • From the information available to the public, eg: contact names with relevant job titles on corporate websites that we believe have a legitimate interest in Young Leaders Forum.
  • When you access the youngleaders.huki.hr we will collect your IP address, time and date of access to the website, information about Internet browser and browser language settings

2.1 Personal Data about participants is very important for us and we shall only use your Personal Data for the following purposes and shall not keep such Personal Data longer than is necessary to fulfill these purposes:

2.1.1. To help us to identify you when you contact us.

2.1.2 To help us to give you the right information about the Young Leaders Forum and to keep you informed about the Young Leaders Forum before and after the conference. Before the conference, we might contact you via email or via a telephone call. After the conference, we are in contact with you via email, if you want. You can unsubscribe anytime you want. Automatically, by unsubscribing from the email you will be unsubscribed from all ways of communication.

2.1.3 To help us to administer and to contact you about improved administration of any accounts, services, and products we have provided before, do provide now or will or may provide in the future.

2.1.4 To allow us to carry out marketing analysis and customer profiling (including with transactional information), conduct research, including creating statistical and testing information.

2.1.5 To help to prevent and detect fraud or loss.

2.1.6 We may monitor and record communications with you (including phone conversations and emails) for quality assurance and compliance.

2.1.7 We may check your details with fraud prevention agencies. If you provide false or inaccurate information and we suspect fraud, we will record this.

2.2 Your Personal Dana might be shared only with the U.S. Embassy in Croatia which is the co-organizer of this Forum. We will not disclose your Personal Data to any other third party except in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

2.3 We may allow other people and organizations, other than the U.S. Embassy in Croatia, to use Personal Data we hold about you in the following circumstances:

2.3.1 If we, or substantially all of our assets, are acquired or are in the process of being acquired by a third party, in which case Personal Data held by us, about our customers, will be one of the transferred assets.

2.3.2 If we have been legitimately asked to provide information for legal or regulatory purposes or as part of legal proceedings or prospective legal proceedings.

  1. Protecting Information

We have strict security measures to protect Personal Data.
3.1 We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input.
3.2 We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in connection with the collection, storage and disclosure of personally identifiable customer information. Our security procedures mean that we may occasionally request proof of identity before we disclose personal information to you.
3.3 It is important for you to protect against unauthorised access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when you finish using a shared computer.

4.1 If you communicate with us using the internet, we may occasionally email you about our services and products. When you first give us Personal Data through the Website, we will reply via your preferred contact method.

7.1 Photographing and filming at the Forum

Numerous television crews and photographers will be filming on-site during the warm-up and main event.

​By entering the location where the events are held, you acknowledge and agree that you may be photographed, or audio and/or video recorded at any time. You also agree that all material from the Forum may be used globally for communication and promotional purposes.

7.2 By attending the Young Leaders Forum you understand that you can be approached by other participants, speakers, and other people.

7.3 By attending the Young Leaders Forum you acknowledge that this Forum is the place with zero tolerance towards hate speech, racism, and harassment. By attending the Young Leaders Forum you agree that you will treat all participants, speakers, and staff members with the respect and that you will report any hate speech, racism, or harassment to the Young Leaders Forum Organizing Committee.

7.4 COVID-19 protocols for all participants

7.4.1. The Young Leaders Forum is organized by strict COVID-19 protocols due to ongoing COVID-19 pandemics. By attending this forum you acknowledge that you will need to demonstrate a valid EU Digital COVID Certificate in order to attend the event. This Certificate can be obtained:

  1. If you have been vaccinated,
  2. if you can present a negative SARS-CoV-2 test or
  3. if you have recently recovered from COVID-19

7.5 By attending the Young Leaders forum you acknowledge that the official language of the forum is English.
