Over the past twenty years, Goran Košćak career has been a dynamic journey marked by a series of enriching experiences. Initially, after getting his university degree in political science, he immersed himself in the fields of tourism, event management, and project coordination, where he spent nearly a decade honing his skills and cultivating his passion. As his career progressed, Goran transitioned into the complex world of corporative security, international relations, security policies, intelligence, counterintelligence, and diplomacy. Leveraging a diverse wealth of expertise, practical experience, and a well-established network of industry connections cultivated over time, he established his company in 2022 by the name Sector2.
Since then, Sector2 has established itself as a reliable partner, specializing in the areas of operational business security, corporate resilience architecture, compliance with security standards, and business continuity establishment. Initially focused on tourism security and event management, they have evolved into a versatile company offering a comprehensive range of security services tailored to small and medium-sized enterprises in operations and large corporations in an advisory capacity. This dichotomy is the origin of the company’s name, which carries its own duality. The first part of this duality relates to the area of operation, i.e., SECurity in TOuRism, suggesting the company’s initial development focus. The second part concerns the company’s core activity and its most significant market product, security outsourcing, with Sector2’s mission being to take care of your company’s security so you can focus on your primary business. Thus, security should be the second most important sector (SECTOR No. 2) in your business, and Sector2 takes care of that.
Goran holds various certificates in different branches of security. To name a few, he is a Certified Lead Auditor for the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 (CQI/IRCA) standard in information security; Certified BCMS ISO 22301:2019 (CQI/IRCA) standard in business continuity and NIS2 Directive Lead Conformity Implementer by TUV Nord Group. Also, Certified Corporate Security Manager (CMKS) and Certified Corporate Investigator (CIKI) by the Croatian Association of Security Managers (HUMS). He has also completed the Program of Advanced Security Studies (PASS 15-10) at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany.
Goran was recently named as the president of the Security in Tourism Board in the Croatian Association of Security Managers (HUMS), as well as the director of the Security and Tourism Conference.
